Sending Ygritte away with the other spearwives completely fits Jon's character direction after ASOS. As I said, he made his decision before Ygritte died--he chose the Watch. He embraced duty rather than love. This is still true in ADWD. In ADWD, there are other versions of the temptation that Ygritte offered to Jon to betray his duty.

Not only did he basically appoint himself as the leading commander of the Night’s Watch after the battle, but he also Ygritte didn’t really have any girlfriends, so I was surrounded by men and it was always a lot of fun when we were having breaks. I got to work with some amazing actors and there was always a Rose Leslie, Actress: Game of Thrones. Rose Leslie is a Scottish actress. Her leading on screen debut was at age 21 in the television film New Town (2009). She is famous for playing Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011). Leslie also appeared in the films Now Is Good (2012) and The Last Witch Hunter (2015).
